The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations on patients while ensuring their safety and comfort. This role encompasses preparation, patient interaction, operation of MRI equipment, and collaboration with the healthcare team to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Prepare and position patients for MRI examinations ensuring their comfort and safety
Operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality images as per the physician's specifications
Monitor patients during procedures for any adverse reactions
Ensure all MRI equipment is maintained and functioning correctly
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss image findings
Educate patients about the MRI process and what to expect during the procedure
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks during MRI operations

Completion of an accredited MRI technologist program
Current certification in MRI technology from a recognized body
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Previous experience in a clinical MRI setting
