Overview
The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shipping department, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of products. This role involves managing shipping staff, coordinating with warehouse personnel, and optimizing shipping processes to achieve efficiency and reduce costs. The Supervisor will also be responsible for developing and implementing shipping policies and procedures while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and train shipping department staff to ensure efficient operations
Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring timely delivery of products
Monitor shipping processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency
Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy in shipping documentation
Work closely with warehouse personnel to streamline the shipping process
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Compile and analyze shipping data to identify trends and optimize costs
Compensation
$65k yearly
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in a shipping or logistics role
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Familiarity with shipping regulations and compliance
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to lift weights of up to 50 pounds
Valid driver's license may be required
